SAN ANTONIO -

The Bexar County Medical Examiner released the identity of a man Tuesday who was struck and killed by a motorist who was fleeing from police Monday afternoon.

Jimmy Medrano, 49, was walking on a sidewalk on South Hackberry when a stolen car driven by Roxanne Campa, 31, jumped the curb and ran over Medrano.

According to court records, Campa was awaiting trial on a felony drug possession charge and had a warrant out for her arrest for that case when she fled from a routine traffic stop.

Court documents reveal Campa had previously been arrested for theft by check in 2007 but the case was dismissed.

Campa is being held on a $20,000 bond. She is charged with murder, evading arrest and driving a stolen vehicle.
