A man upset about how his Valentine’s Day turned out took his frustration to the streets.

A Department of Public Safety helicopter crew spotted the driver going more than 100 mph on Highway 90 near Hunt Lane around 10:30 p.m. Friday.

When a trooper attempted to stop the man, he took off at a high rate of speed and drove all the way to I-37 before finally getting off the highway.

Troopers caught up with the man in the 100 block of Fern Court, where he told them he was upset that his Valentine’s Day didn’t go well.

Charges are pending against the man.
