Man shot, pistol-whipped, robbed outside home on SE Side

Police looking for four people; incident reported in 5900 block of Cinnabar Cove

SAN ANTONIO – A 20-year-old man was shot, pistol-whipped and robbed outside a home early Wednesday on city's far Southeast Side, police said.

The victim and a friend were inside a garage at a home in the 5900 block of Cinnabar Cove around 1 a.m., when a white car with four people inside it kept driving by, police said.

The car stopped, and that's when the victim walked to the vehicle, police said.

Someone in the car pulled out a handgun and took the victim's wallet and pistol-whipped him, police said.

The gunman opened fire, hitting the victim in the buttocks, police said. He was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in stable condition.

The victim's friend was not injured.

The car took off. Police said the vehicle was possibly a white 2015 Ford Fusion hatchback with a black racing stripe down the middle.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to call San Antonio police at 210-207-7273.
