Man sentenced to 30 years in federal prison on child porn conviction

Approximately 369 porn images found on Kevin Montgomery's phone, DOJ says

SAN ANTONIO – A man who pleaded guilty in October to production of child pornography was sentenced Tuesday to 30 years in federal prison.

The Department of Justice said Kevin Clay Montgomery, 33, used his cellphone to produce child porn in September 2014 that depicted the abuse and exploitation of a female toddler who was approximately 2 years old.

The FBI, after receiving information about the potential child pornography in which Montgomery was believed to be involved, executed a search warrant at his home on Jan. 27, 2015, and seized two phones that belonged to Montgomery, the DOJ said.

A forensics evaluation of Montgomery's phones revealed approximately 369 images of child porn produced using the phones from October 2014 to December 2014.

After Montgomery's prison sentence, he must serve 10 years of supervised release.
