SAN ANTONIO -

A man was wounded in the arm during a drive-by shooting on the East Side Wednesday night.

San Antonio police were called to the 300 block of Corliss around 9:15 p.m. after shots were reported.

Officers said two men were talking outside when a red car drove by and someone inside opened fire with an AK-47, striking one of the men in the arm.

Police said the other man dislocated his shoulder after he ran from the gunfire and fell. The victims returned gunfire and possibly caused the driver of the car to crash as it fled the scene, police said.

Officers arrived in time to take one person into custody, but other suspects remained at large. Officers said they recovered the gun believed to have been used in the shooting.

Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment. Charges were unknown Wednesday night.
