Man shot, killed after party brawl identified

Victim identified as 19-year-old Octavio Carlin-Morales; SAPD searching for shooter

SAN ANTONIO – A man who was fatally shot after a fight broke out at a party over the weekend has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office.

Octavio Carlin-Morales, 19, was gunned down during the brawl in the 900 block of Sacramento just before 3:30 a.m. Saturday.

Investigators said a fight broke out and two men came to help a friend involved in the altercation, but when they confronted the others someone pulled a gun and fired.

Police say the gunfire hit Carlin-Morales. EMS transported him to University Hospital, but he died there an hour later.

Police had not announced any arrests in connection with the fatal shooting as of 7 a.m. Monday.
