SAN ANTONIO -

A man was hospitalized Sunday night after San Antonio police said he was shot multiple times on the West Side.

The shooting happened around 8:30 p.m. at a home in the 300 block of Altitude Street, not far from Loop 410 and Highway 90.

According to police, a 54-year-old man was shot several times including once in the lower body and once in the back. He was taken to University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Two people inside the house at the time were taken downtown for questioning. Police believe the shooting was the result of an argument that turned violent.

Investigators said they have no witnesses other than the two people taken in for questioning and the victim who was unable to tell police what happened.

No charges have been announced by police.
