Man shot while driving truck on city's East Side

Victim taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center for treatment

SAN ANTONIO - Police are investigating why a gunman opened fire on another driver Thursday afternoon.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of Roland Road near Interstate 10 just after 3:30 p.m.

Police tell KSAT the victim was driving in his truck and pulled over after being shot.

He was shot once in the shoulder.

It is believed the gunman, who the driver did not know, was driving a black BMW, police said.

The victim was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center. His condition was not known.
