Man suffers mysterious injury after windshield shatters

No reports of shots fired in area, police say

SAN ANTONIO – Police are trying to figure out what happened after a bizarre incident Tuesday night.

Officers responded to a Shell gas station near Theo Avenue and Interstate 35 around 6 p.m. to find a man with an injury to his left arm.

Police said the man claimed he was driving on the highway with his girlfriend and two kids when his back windshield shattered and something hit him in the arm.

The man was taken to University Hospital and is expected to be OK.

Police said they aren't sure if he was shot or if it was some sort of debris flew his window.

There were no reports of shots fired and there was no exit wound on the man's arm.
