A man who was stabbed by his girlfriend will be the one facing charges, San Antonio police said. The stabbing happened Monday morning in the 100 block of Threadneedle Lane.

According to police, the man and his girlfriend were at a party when he was asked to leave because he was getting aggressive and becoming belligerent.

The man and his girlfriend got into a car and she was driving him home when he got angry and threw a beer can at his girlfriend's face.

Police said the woman pulled out a pocket knife and stabbed him in the side, then cut him in the arm.

The man was taken to University Hospital in unknown condition. Police said the woman would not face charges because she stabbed the man in self-defense.
