SAN ANTONIO -

Police said have identified the suspect who allegedly pulled a gun on another driver, then fled from officers, causing a horrific wreck that killed a father and mother, and two of their three children.

George Munoz Jr., 30, of San Antonio, a convicted felon, is being held under bonds totaling $740,000 on multiple charges in connection with Sunday evening's wreck.

Police said Munoz is charged with four counts of murder, evading arrest, aggravated assault on a public servant and felon in possession of a firearm.

“We lost them over stupid stuff, stupid stuff,” said Maria Leza, a cousin of the 25-year-old mother, Kathy Castillo.

Police investigators said it started when Munoz allegedly pulled a gun on another driver up the street from the intersection of Culebra Road and Pettus, where crash occurred just before 6 p.m. Sunday.

They said Munoz had pulled out a handgun and threatened the other driver at the initial scene, where an officer tried to intervene by putting his patrol car between the two vehicles.

Investigators said Munoz allegedly tried to ram the officer's vehicle, then drove off.

They said moments later, Munoz crashed into the family’s white Chevrolet sedan on Culebra Road.

The other victims are identified as Castillo’s 27-year-old husband, Wesley Lindsay, and their oldest, Edward, age 7, and their youngest, Davon, age 3.

Family members said they were going home after a Father’s Day gathering.

“He took a whole family, a whole family. He needs to pay for what he did,” said Elizabeth Montes, the mother’s niece.

Eva Castillo said only her 4-year-old nephew Travion somehow survived, but remains in a body cost from his waist down.

“He came out of surgery. He’s doing good, breathing on his own,” his aunt said.

His family was said to be inseparable.

“Where you would see her, he was there, the kids were there,” said Leza. “They were always together and they died together.”

The family said they now must contend with how to pay for four funerals.
