Mechanical problems blamed for Northeast Side accident
Woman hospitalized after car rear-ended by driver of pickup truck
A car accident on the Northeast Side that sent one woman to the hospital is thought to have been caused by mechanical problems.
It happened around 7 p.m. Sunday along I-35 near Rittiman Road.
According to police, a woman was having car problems when she was hit from behind by a truck.
She was taken to the hospital and is expected to be OK. No injuries were reported for the driver of the truck that hit her car.
Southbound traffic was slowed down for a bit while crews cleared the scene.
