John Kilian, 57, and Zachary Aaron Kilian, 17, were identified as the other two family members involved in the crash.

An Alamo Heights ISD official confirmed to KSAT that Travis Kilian was a 2015 graduate of Alamo Heights High School and Zachary Kilian is an incoming senior.

The school official said the family is well known in the community and have been part of the Alamo Heights school district since the boys started school.

The accident occurred around 7 p.m. Friday on U.S. Highway 83 in Kimble County, about 14 miles north of Junction.

Troopers with the Texas Department of Public Safety said the driver of a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro veered into the wrong side of highway and crashed into a vehicle being towed by a 2003 F-350 truck, which was being driven by John Kilian.

The impact caused the truck to spin, roll over and land in a ditch. Carla Kilian and Travis John Kilian were both pronounced dead on the scene.

Zachary was transported to University Hospital, where he is recovering. John Kilian was recovering as well.

The driver of the Camaro was identified as Jorge Luis Marroguin, 21. He was taken from the scene with serious injuries.

DPS officials have not released what caused Marroguin to veer into oncoming traffic or if he would face charges. DPS officials said weather and road conditions were clear and dry.

Since news of the crash spread, there has been an outpouring of support for the family.

Alamo Heights school officials said the community has reached out to John Kilian and he has shared his sincere appreciation for the love and support.

Funeral arrangements have not been announced.
