SAN ANTONIO -

People joined together Saturday to raise money for a woman involved in a car accident that left her in a coma.

Stacy Bridges was side-swept by a suspected drunk driver shortly after Christmas at Perrin Beitel and 410.

Since then, Bridges has had several surgeries and remains in a coma at SAMMC.

The nonprofit group known as The Mercy Coalition held the 5k Saturday.

The money raised will help Bridges' family pay for her mounting medical bills.

Organizers say about 150 runners participated in Saturday's run.
