SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police investigators are looking for a stolen laptop owned by the San Antonio Metropolitan Health District.
It was taken on May 30, and stored the immunization records for about 300 people, Metro Health officials announced on Monday.
Information on the computer lists the provider's assigned unique identifier, first and last name of the patient, date of birth, name of immunizations administered, and status of patient, whether active or inactive with the provider.
The records were kept in the computer for quality assurance assessments of providers in the Vaccines for Children program.
Police officials have not determined if the laptop was targeted because of the data stored on the device.

However, those affected by the theft advise the individuals keep any eye on their health insurance statements for any abnormal activity.
Anyone who has any information about the theft are encouraged to contact San Antonio police at 207-7626.
