Graduates of University Hospital's PREMIEre Program gathered for a special reunion Tuesday evening. The program has provided expert care to hundreds of premature babies since 1981.

Graduates of the program, ranging from ages 3 to 32, were joined by their families and reunited with the doctors and nurses who helped them survive.

"It's the best day of the year for us, seeing how well many of these babies have done," said Steve Seidner, University Hospital NICU Director. "Usually they've done even better than we would have expected and we've been very fortunate to have a wonderful follow up program for them."

Children graduate from the PREMIEre Program when they turn three years old, but routine follow-ups help parents make sure their babies grow up to be normal, healthy children and adults.
