The U.S. Marshals Service's Lone Star Fugitive Task Force is trying to locate two young brothers allegedly kidnapped over the weekend by their mother and her new husband.
Its spokesman said their role is locate people, but he could not get into their possible whereabouts.
The missing boys are identified as 3-year-old William Sage Walker and his 6-year-old brother, Thomas Darwin Walker.
The suspects are their mother, Brandy Romano, and her new husband, Raymond Grant Romano.
Tom Walker, the boys' father, said his divorce was amicable and he and his ex-wife had a shared custody arrangement that seemed to be working.
However, Walker (pictured below with the boys) said he became concerned when their mother wanted to take their sons out of the country on vacation.
"I didn't want them leaving the country because I was afraid she would not come back with them," Walker said.
He said his belief was based on different reasons, nothing concrete.
Walker said, "It was just am uneasy feeling I had."
He said his attorney was able to get a court order to stop them.
Walker said she was served the court order a week ago.
He said when he went pick up the children Sunday at their grandmother's house at the end of a weekend visit, the couple and the boys were gone.
"Please come home. Bring the boys back," Walker said as a message to their mother, a schoolteacher. "'You know this is not smart. You're giving up your career. You're not going to see your family if you continue this."
Walker said the couple was last seen driving a 2005 Kia Sedona, Texas plates BDV 9751.
A spokeswoman for SAPD said an Amber Alert was never issued because it began as a custodial issue.
