Three weeks have passed since 9-year-old Tatyana Babineaux was killed by a hit-and-run driver.
Saturday would have been her 10th birthday.
"She'll always have a birthday. I’m not going to forget her, she’s my baby. God gave her to me and I'll keep celebrating her birthdays until I’m no longer here,” said Tatyana’s mother, Gina Babineaux.
Family and friends will gather at Phil Hardberger park at 10 a.m. Saturday to release balloons in Tatyana's memory.
"She was my angel on earth and now she's my angel in heaven. I mean, couldn't ask for anything better," said Babineaux.
Babineaux admits she has her good days and bad days but finds comfort that her daughter is in a better place.
"I'm not going to see her grow up. I'm not going to see her graduate college, high school," said Babineaux
