SAN ANTONIO -

A man was killed Thursday evening after the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a Ford Focus as it turned into a side entrance of a CVS Pharmacy on Bitters Road.

Police said they received conflicting reports about what happened prior to the crash.

Some witnesses told police on the scene that the bike and another car were revving their engines at the stop light at the intersection of Bitters and Huebner.

Others said the motorcycle sped past one car when the light turned green and appeared to speed up to try to pass a Ford Focus that was turning into the driveway.

"When the driver turned left there was a collision between the Focus and the motorcycle and that caused the rider of the motorcycle to sail into the air," said Sgt. Daniel Gonzalez of SAPD.

EMTs tried to revive the motorcyclist but he died at the scene. He was wearing a helmet and believed to be between 20 to 30 years old.
