NB woman seeks justice after up-skirt picture incident

Fellow shoppers tackle man responsible

A casual shopping trip turned into a nightmare for one New Braunfels woman.

The woman, we'll call Claire, said she was shopping at Victoria's Secret at La Cantera when she said she caught a man taking up-skirt photos.

"When I first initially felt his hand my mind just kind of started racing because I had no idea what was happening. Somebody's hand is up my dress touching my upper thighs. When I turned around and saw him on the ground with the cellphone up in my dress my heart just began racing," said Claire.

Claire said she turned around to find a man dressed as a woman. She said he was wearing a wig, long skirt and heels.

She began shouting for help and several shoppers stepped in.

"He took off out of the store and immediately I began chasing him. I get outside and I started screaming, "Somebody stop this person, somebody stop this person!" Claire said.

A fellow shopper began recording the chase with his cellphone. Multiple men eventually caught up to the suspect and held him down.

"At first I was very upset about it, I was a little hysterical, but now I'm just angry because that's my personal space and people aren't allowed in that area," said Claire.

Claire said her mission now is to alert other women and make sure that the man responsible is held accountable.

"I want to expose this man as much as he exposed me, which is not possible because he exposed a very personal part of myself," Claire said.

San Antonio police arrested the man. His name has not been released.
