NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas -

A New Braunfels boy was struck by a car Monday while he was playing in a driveway, police said.

According to an NBPD press release, the 4-year-old boy was struck by a vehicle driven by a 30-year-old woman around 12:20 p.m. in the 2100 block of North Star Loop.

An investigation showed the child was playing in the driveway and the driver did not see him as she pulled in.

The child was flown to University Hospital in San Antonio in stable condition, but was conscious and breathing, the release stated.

It appeared that the drivers view was blocked and she simply did not see the child sitting in the driveway, the release stated. No charges had been filed as of 10 p.m. Monday.
