New Braunfels man arrested in bank robbery

Casey James Wheatley suspected in robbery of Wells Fargo bank

NEW BRAUNFELS, Texas – A 21-year-old New Braunfels man was arrested Wednesday in connection with a robbery at a Wells Fargo bank branch.

Police arrested Casey James Wheatley without incident at a residence in the 600 block of Creekside Way, officials said.

Wheatley is accused of robbing the Wells Fargo branch Friday.

Police said Wheatley gave the teller a note demanding cash and fled the scene with an undisclosed amount of money.

Wheatley was charged with robbery and was being held in the Comal County Jail in lieu of $75,000 bond.
