SAN ANTONIO -

Sebastien de la Cruz, the young Mariachi singer who was targeted with racist Tweets after singing the National Anthem at Game 3 of the NBA Finals on Tuesday, will again sing the anthem at Game 4.

De la Cruz, 11, became an overnight sensation after his a capella rendition at Tuesday night's game garnered acclaim world-wide -- and the ire and scorn of bigots on social media sites.

The Tumblr page Public Shaming has collected hundreds of the offensive Tweets, and exposed the Twitter users who published them.

However, de la Cruz says he's a proud American and that's not going to stop his singing career.

"I think the people were talking bad because of what I was wearing and it's not my fault," de la Cruz told KSAT on Wednesday. "It's what I love and I'm just proud to be a mariachi singer. It's their opinion, actually, and if they don't like Mariachi, that's their problem. I love it."

De la Cruz is expected to deliver the anthem around 7:50 p.m. Tip-off is at 8 p.m.
