North East ISD administrators say the district is on the verge of transformation when it comes to the way they teach.
The district held the first of six meetings Monday evening to inform parents, teachers, administrators and the community about an upcoming project.
NEISD officials want to ensure their students are prepared to succeed as they move to college, technical schools and into the workforce.
District leaders also wanted feedback from parents on what they would like to see happen for their children in the classroom.
"We'll be soliciting feedback and coming up with a game plan to really customize our education for the way that students learn today, and prepare them for the 21st century," said Aubrey Chancellor, NEISD Executive Director of Communications.
Five more meetings will be held so people can provide input and hear more about the district's project.
