Ongoing sex trafficking investigation leads to woman's arrest

My'Kael Shavon Terry, 19, facing charges

SAN ANTONIO – My'Kael Shavon Terry, 19, is the latest person to be arrested in connection with a sex trafficking investigation.

The investigation began after allegations surfaced surrounding a former Judson High School teacher, Matthew Turner, 34.

Turner was arrested twice in February on sex charges that had to do with two teenage girls.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated that while investigators with the Department of Public Safety were looking into the claims against Turner, one of his alleged victims, a 15-year-old girl, told them about Terry's involvement.

The affidavit stated that the girl told them Terry had been arranging for her to work as a prostitute. She said Terry would post ads online soliciting customers, then set up sexual encounters with dozens of men -- sometimes one right after the other-- for money.

The teen told investigators she was homeless and needed money in order to eat. The affidavit stated that she and Terry agreed to split the money equally, but that she sometimes walked away with only $15 or $20.

Terry was arrested earlier this week on two counts of sex trafficking of a minor.
