SAN ANTONIO -

Country legend George Strait will conclude his final tour with a stop at San Antonio's Alamodome on Saturday, June 1.

The sold-out concert is expected to draw 72,000 fans, a record for the city as the largest concert in its history.

Alamodome officials announced Tuesday that parking for the concert is permit-only and all permits are sold out.

They are encouraging fans to utilize VIA's Park & Ride service and to arrive at least 90 minutes prior to the show starting. Doors will open at 4:00 p.m. and the concert will begin at 5:30 p.m.

Park & Ride service will be offered from four locations:

  • AT&T Center (Parking Lot 6 – Enter through Gate G)
  • Crossroads Park & Ride
  • Madla Transit Center
  • Airport Park & Ride

Buses will begin running at 2:30 p.m. and return service will run for 30 minutes following the conclusion of the event.

Fares are $2.50 each way (total of $5 roundtrip) with a discount fare available to children, seniors, Medicare recipients, and students. VIAtrans customers and children under five years of age ride free. VIA’s passes are not valid for this service. For additional VIA service information, visit this website.
