SAN ANTONIO -

The passenger who died following a crash Sunday morning on the West Side has been identified by the Bexar County Medical Examiner's Office.

Nestor Avalos, 21, was one of three passengers inside a car that slammed into a tree just after 12 a.m. Sunday in the 2600 block of General Hudnell Drive.

Avalos was taken to San Antonio Military Medical Center in critical condition and pronounced dead at 1:35 a.m., according to the medical examiner's office.
