SAN ANTONIO -

San Antonio police are working to track down a man they say attacked a woman in a park last night.

It happened around 10 p.m. Friday in the Leon Creek Greenway Area.

The woman was on a trail when a man in a ski mask attempted to sexually assault her.

She was able to fight the man off and get away.

Police are working to increase security in the park.

"In the aftermath of that, we have additional patrol in that park, and all of our park police officers are aware that occurred and to be vigilant for any type of ... suspicious activity," said Police Chief William McManus.

According to police, the man has a visible tattoo of a spider on his neck.

Police are asking anyone with information on the suspect to call Crime Stoppers at 210-224-STOP.
