SAN ANTONIO -

The San Antonio Police Department is asking for assistance in identifying three men who stole $10,000 worth of cell phones from a Walmart.

The theft happened at 3 a.m. at 3302 Southeast Military Drive on Aug. 17.

Police said one of the suspects jumped the counter in the electronics department and broke the locks off the glass display and put some cell phones in a plastic bag while two other men kept a lookout for store workers.

An assistant manager spotted the crooks as they were walking out of the store.  

The trio got into a white four-door vehicle with paper covering the license plate.

Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information that leads to the arrest of the suspects.
