SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are searching for two suspects responsible for robbing a local fast food eatery on the city's West Side Wednesday morning.

Police said the suspects were driving a red sport utility vehicle and placed an order before driving up to the window. The men, wearing a bandana to cover their faces, then used a crowbar to break in shattering a window, police said.

Once inside the suspects tried to pry the register from the counter using the crowbar before simply stealing the bottom drawer.

The suspects then left the scene with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Two employees were inside the restaurant at the time of the break-in. Neither were hurt.

Police said they are looking to see if the suspects are connected to a few other fast food robberies with similar circumstances.

The investigation is ongoing.
