Suspect robs both convenience store and customer on NW Side

Robbery occurred before 3 a.m. in 7800 block of Wurzbach Rd

SAN ANTONIO – San Antonio police are investigating following a robbery at a local convenience store on the city's Northwest Side overnight.

The robbery occurred just before 3 a.m. at a Walgreens located in the 7800 block of Wurzbach Road near Medical Drive.

Police said a man holding a gun and wearing a bandana on his face not only robbed the store but also a customer who was inside.

The robber took cash from the register then robbed the customer before going back to the counter and demanding the clerk get money from out of the safe, police said.

The suspect was last seen running out the backdoor of the business, police said.

Police searched the area but did not find him.
