WASHINGTON -

Does Obama’s spending cuts really pass the “Arithmetic Test”? In a new video from The Washington Post, The Fact Checker Glenn Kessler examines why Bill Clinton should have done his own number crunching.

In last night’s DNC speech, Bill Clinton said Obama’s budget included $2.50 of spending cuts for every dollar of tax increases. But according to Kessler, that ratio is based on an overly generous interpretation of spending cuts with funds that were never intended to be used.

Clinton touted “The Arkansas math test” -- when 2 plus 2 equals four – but according to Kessler, the former president obviously forgot the numbers game in Washington. For accepting the administration's spin, The Fact Checker "awards" Bill Clinton 3 Pinocchios.
