Rep. Paul Ryan will "deconstruct" President Barack Obama's campaign agenda in a tough, direct manner during his speech at the Republican National Convention Wednesday night, according to a Republican source familiar with Ryan's speech.

The congressman will spend most of the policy section of his remarks on the economic issues that are in his wheel house. About a third of that will be on the stimulus program enacted in 2009 and a third will about the federal debt.

Ryan, himself, set the terms and themes for the speech and wanted to be an attack dog, the source said.

He will also include in his speech a biographical section introducing himself and spend a fair amount of time talking about why Romney should be president.

Romney is scheduled to speak Thursday night, when he accepts his party's nomination.
