A truck carrying President Barack Obama's teleprompter and $200,000 in sound equipment was stolen Monday from a Virginia hotel parking lot, police said.
The truck also contained presidential seals and podiums for Obama's bus tour of Virginia and North Carolina, Richmond, Va., TV station WWBT reported.
The vehicle was recovered Monday afternoon in the parking lot of a Holiday Inn Express near the airport.
In a statement Tuesday, the Defense Information System Agency said that a government vehicle had been stolen and then recovered. The theft was being investigated in coordination with law enforcement agencies, The Associated Press reported.
