Red Cross phone bank takes place for Hurricane Matthew victims

SAN ANTONIO – The Red Cross will be hosting a phone bank on Monday to raise money for victims of Hurricane Matthew.

This KSAT Community event will be Monday from noon to 7 p.m.

Red Cross currently has more than 5,000 people in evacuation centers in Georgia and South Carolina.

There are a total of more than 27,000 people in almost 200 shelters and evacuation centers that have been displaced because of Hurricane Matthew, according to the Red Cross.

In response to Hurricane Matthew, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and North Carolina have all declared states of emergency.
