SAN ANTONIO -

A fire damaged a group of duplexes on the West Side Wednesday afternoon.

San Antonio fire officials said the two-alarm fire broke out around 5 p.m. in the 2400 block of Pinn Road.

A resident said he noticed the smoke and ran inside to alert others including a man whose son in paralyzed.

"A bunch of smoke came out, so I started knocking on doors and getting everybody out. His son is paralyzed so I got his son and went to the back. That's where it started," said Rene Moncada.

A cause for the fire was unknown and estimated damages have not been released by fire officials. No injuries were reported.
