Employees working the late shift Tuesday night were terrorized by a man who attempted to rob them at gunpoint.

Police say just after 10 p.m. the gunman walked into the Fred's Fish Fry in the 3300 block of Pleasanton Road and flashed a gun at the clerk and demanded cash.

The employee grabbed her co-worker and both locked themselves in an office.

They told police they heard the suspect searching the restaurant before he fled on foot. Police have not said whether he stole anything.
