Reward offered for info in man's death
SAPD: Harold Eugene Johnson, 51, found shot to death in car
San Antonio police and Crime Stoppers are offering a reward for information that leads to an arrest in the slaying of a San Antonio man.
According to police investigators, Harold Eugene Johnson, 51, was found shot to death in a car around 2:30 a.m. on Aug. 17, 2013.
Investigators responded to a call for shots fired in the area of 4200 Sun Gate. Johnson's body was found inside a vehicle in the 9500 block of Perrin Beitel, near where the shooting was reported.
His family says Johnson was just a few hours shy of his birthday when the slaying occurred, and are at a complete loss for how he got there and what happened that day.
"Our question today is why, and if anything went down, whoever did this to him, why did you have to do it in that way?” the victim’s sister, Catherine Johnson, said. "It's sad that someone could do somebody like that -- the way that they did him and leave him there.”
Crime Stoppers will pay up to $5,000 for information which leads to the arrest of whoever was responsible for the fatal shooting. Call Crime Stoppers at 224-STOP (224-7867) or visit www.sacrimestoppers.com. To text a tip, Text "Tip 127 plus your tip" to CRIMES (274637).
