SAN ANTONIO -

Another round of severe weather moved into the Texas Hill Country and northwest San Antonio area early Friday morning hours after hail and heavy rain pounded the area late Thursday night.

The National Weather Service issued a new severe thunderstorm warning at 7:53 a.m. for the following areas:

  • Central Bexar County, Southwestern Guadalupe County, North central Wilson County.
  • The warning was set to expire at 8:45 a.m.

KSAT Weather Authority Meteorologist Mike Osterhage says storms will continue to develop throughout the day and the risk remains for more severe weather for the whole San Antonio area.

The storms are predicted to linger into Saturday morning with a 30 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.

Highs over the next few days are expected to be in the low 80s. Lows are predicted in the mid 60s.
