SAN ANTONIO -

This Friday the 13th, people are hoping to get lucky and hit the multi-state Mega Millions jackpot, which is now worth an estimated $425 million.

The jackpot went up after there was no winner announced on Tuesday.

On Friday, dozens of people were lined up at Lucky's Food Mart downtown waiting to buy a ticket after hearing that the jackpot went up.

"I'm just hoping for the best," said Manuel Hernandez. "I buy them once in a while. I don't strike it."

Lucky's Food Mart Clerk Luis Almanza said Friday that they were busy all day selling the Mega Millions tickets and they expect the rush will continue.

"With $425 million up for grabs, everybody is buying tickets," said Almanza. "Some buying 20, 10, some buying a hundred. So they're really going for it. It's pretty exciting."

"That's a lot of money," said Joe Lewis McGarity. "I'll probably throw it on the bed and roll all over it at first."

If you want a shot at winning the Mega Millions, you have to buy your ticket before the drawing at 10 p.m. on Friday night.
