SAN ANTONIO -

Not deterred by a little summertime heat, dozens joined in the first "Bat Walk" tour along the San Antonio River Tuesday.

The City of San Antonio's Downtown Operations, Paseo Del Rio Association and Downtown Alliance created the walks as part of their "Bat Loco" series, which coincides with Downtown Tuesday.

There are two more walks planned on Aug. 6 and 13. The free tours begin at 6:30 and 7 p.m. at the Travis Street River Walk Entrance and ends at the I-35 Bridge.
