SAN ANTONIO -

Joe Hinojosa, 30, and Andrea Hinojosa, 28, have been tied to a series of crimes, including robberies and credit card abuse, according to San Antonio police investigators.

Both were arrested Friday on multiple charges.

Joe Hinojosa is charged with one count each of aggravated robbery and credit card abuse, while Andrea Hinojosa faces three counts of credit card abuse.

An arrest warrant affidavit stated detectives obtained surveillance video that showed the suspects using the stolen credit cards from two Wal-Mart stores.

Police believe the credit cards were taken during three separate robberies this year, including at least one purse snatching, the affidavit stated.

On May 13, a clerk at a cell phone store in the 5100 block of West Avenue told police that the robber cut him on the head with a knife before taking off with his wallet and credit cards.

Police said Joe Hinojosa later admitted to committing the robberies and assaulting the cell phone store clerk, the affidavit stated.
