A 21-year-old San Antonio man was arrested Tuesday in connection with the kidnapping of his ex-girlfriend.

According to an arrest warrant affidavit, the 18-year-old woman told police she was leaving work the night of March 28 when the suspect, Cristobal Urdiales suddenly got into her car, pointed a gun at her and told her to drive.

The victim said Urdiales forced her to drive around and appeared to be leading her to his home where she feared he would kill her, the affidavit stated.

The woman told police that, at one point, she tried to get the attention of another motorist for help, but Urdiales pulled her back into the car, causing bruises to her wrists, the affidavit stated.

The woman said she eventually was able to drive into a school parking lot and put Urdiales out of her car, the affidavit stated.

The victim told police she and Urdiales have a child together, but have not been in a relationship or seen each other in about a year, the affidavit stated.

A warrant was issued for his arrest the following day.

Urdiales was taken into custody Tuesday and was charged with aggravated kidnapping.
