An argument between a couple in southeast San Antonio led to the death of a man in his 50s early Tuesday morning.
San Antonio police responded to a call for a disturbance just after midnight at the intersection of South Presa and Fair Avenue.
Officers found the victim in the street and determined he had suffered severe head injuries.
Police said the victim had been arguing with a woman near a pickup truck at the intersection.
The woman got into the truck and attempted to drive away, but the man apparently chased after her.
Police said the victim grabbed the tailgate and fell from the truck. He suffered major head trauma and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. His name has not been released.
San Antonio police spoke to a woman at the scene, but there was no word if it was the woman the victim was arguing with or a witness. Police have not said if charges would be filed.
