A South Side resident is accused of stealing $10,000 in cash while on the job.
Faustino Reyes, 30, was arrested Tuesday on a charge of theft.
An arrest warrant affidavit did not mention the name of the company that employed Reyes, but it did state that he was a driver and the theft happened during his regular pick-up route.
A supervisor with the company noticed the money was missing July 8 and questioned Reyes about it, but he denied any wrongdoing, the affidavit stated.
Two days later, Reyes went to work and confessed to the crime, the affidavit stated.
Police investigators also questioned Reyes and said that he told them he, alone, was to blame for the theft, which actually was committed on July 5, the affidavit stated.
