A 20-year-old man has been arrested after allegedly running from the scene of a liquor store burglary more than a month ago.
San Antonio police believe Reynaldo Garcia, who was taken into custody Tuesday, is one of two men who broke into a Don & Ben’s liquor store.
An arrest warrant affidavit stated that a witness called police on Nov. 26 after noticing two men inside the store around 3 a.m.
When officers arrived, two men were seen exiting through a broken window and running away, the affidavit stated.
Officers later tracked down one suspect in the backyard of a home and arrested him. They said they also found several bottles of alcohol that were taken from the store.
Police said the suspect refused to cooperate and offer information about the second man, the affidavit stated.
There is no mention in the affidavit of how detectives later linked Garcia to the crime. Garcia was booked into the Bexar County Jail on a charge of burglary.
