SAN ANTONIO -

The San Antonio Police Department is asking for the public's help as it works to identify a suspect in a bank robbery that occurred Monday on the city's Northwest side.

The man pictured here is wanted in connection with the robbery at the Frost bank at 10215 Wurzbach Rd.

A teller at the bank told police she was working at the front counter when a man wearing a hooded sweatshirt and dark sunglasses approached her and demanded money from her till.

According to a police report, she said the man threw a bag on the counter and put his hands in the pocket of his sweatshirt, making it seem as though he had a gun. The teller complied and began placing money inside the bag.

Another bank employee who was sitting at the front desk told police he saw what was happening and activated the hold-up alarm. He said he and another person followed the robber as he ran out of the bank.

They said the suspect jumped into a maroon 2007 Dodge Caliber and sped away.

Crime Stoppers will pay a reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. The number to call is (210) 224-STOP (224-7867). Callers may remain anonymous.
