San Antonio police are asking for help from the public as they try to identify a suspect in connection with an armed robbery at a near North side Wienerschnitzel restaurant.

According to police, the man pictured here walked into the Wienerschnitzel in the 600 block of San Pedro Ave. just after 11:40 a.m. Tuesday.

An employee said the man had a handgun and demanded cash from two registers.  The employee told police she placed the money tray on the counter. Then as she turned to get the money from the drive-thru register, she whispered to her manager that she was being robbed. Another employee saw what was happening and dialed 911.

The robbery suspect took the money and ran out the door.
