San Antonio police: Woman uses stolen ID to cash stolen check
San Antonio police: Christina Greene, 37, tried to cash check from stolen truck
A 37-year-old woman is accused of using a stolen ID to cash a stolen check at a local bank last month.
Christina Greene is believed to be the woman seen in surveillance photos that were featured on local TV stations as part of a recent Crime Stoppers report.
San Antonio police issued the appeal for the public's help in identifying that woman in late September.
They said the person in the photos had walked into a Greater Texas Federal Credit Union on Sept. 12 and using a stolen ID card tried to cash a $450 check that also was stolen.
A few days earlier, the check owner had reported the theft of his pickup truck, the affidavit stated.
The man told police he had checks and weapons inside the vehicle when it was stolen, the affidavit stated.
Police said after the surveillance pictures aired on TV, they received tips identifying Greene as the woman in the photos.
Greene was booked into the Bexar County Jail on charges of forgery and fraudulent use of identifying information.
