SAN ANTONIO -

Wet weather is expected to make its way into South Central Texas Thursday and could stick around for Mother's Day. 

KSAT Weather Authority Meteorologist Mike Osterhage says the San Antonio area could see a few showers and storms develop later Thursday. Mike says there's a slight risk of a severe storm in northern parts of the area.

The National Weather Service reports chances for rain Thursday are 30 percent mostly after 1 p.m.

Mike says rain chances are expected to go up Friday through Saturday with a wide spread slight risk of a severe storm.

A 50 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is predicted for most of the day and night on Friday.

Showers are expected to stick around through the weekend. The NWS reports chances for rain Saturday are 40 percent.

Mike says we could see scattered showers Saturday and a slight chance of rain Sunday evening, Mother's Day.

Highs through Sunday are expected to be in the low 80s. Lows are expected to be in the mid 60s.
